...we might be back (touch wood)
two weeks and zero running. just getting fat.
physio last friday. really hopeful to get thumbs up.
thumbs up. friday lunch run. ouch. 1st mile painful. discard orthotics. pain relieved.
sunday. ditch the asics trail shoes. revert back to my favorites. north face rucky chuckies. result. 10.5 miles and little, if any, discomfort. 6 hours since finished and no repercussions.
plan. next saturday's 3 shires. maybe do the 20 instead of the 30 (being sensible). our first event of the year (hopefully).
charlie is delighted. i am delighted. we're all delighted.
hope i haven't spoken too soon.
ps thanks to everyone's words of encouragement. they were much appreciated.

What fantastic news! So good to read you're getting back to it.. would have been torture with spring arriving and no playing out time.
Here's hoping you keep the hobbles at bay next weekend.
*typing this on a wooden keyboard* brilliant news :)
P.s. Didn't know you'd run Lochaber..any top tips on the course?
Glad to see that you are getting your feet underneath you again.
Nice. You doing the Fling this year?
I am delighted too.
Good news.
Brilliant news. Don't go mad and overdo it:)
Hoping for nothing less than positive movement from here!
thanks very much to everyone
its tuesday and still ok
fingers kept crossed
Tuesday and all is well :) sounds good. I'll dedicate all my touching of wood to an injury free summer for you; and as I'm working with trees, thats a lot of wood :)
That is really great! Here's to 100% recovery! Sometimes shoe changes make a huge difference.
DON'T CHANGE THE SHOES. Take it carefully Dave. I haven't registered for next weekend because of recent excesses on my part, but the event has never been far from my mind. I might just join you and Charlie for a bimble on the short route. How about it?
dorian..would you? thanks!
johann..i should have stuck with them!
nick..ours will be a bimble..be delighted to so long we (i mean I) dont hold you back!
so pleased (or should that be relieved!) you are back on track:)
